Wild Hibiscus with bubbles, a match made in heaven!

Just before Christmas, I discovered this great product from Australia: Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup. In addition to being beautiful, they are delicious. They are a real show stopper! Serve them with champagne and you will make a hit!

I have tried them different ways: with ice cream with a little bit of the syrup, in a chantilly filled krumkake, but I still prefer them with bubbles!

Just be careful, as the hibiscus flowers are a little fragile to handle. However, once they are out of the jar, you can play with them easily. Jars details for about $10 CDN and you have about 11 flowers in each of them.

Wild Hibiscus products are now sold in over 30 countries. You can also buy the jars at their online store.

To make a Wild Hibiscus Champagne cocktail:

  • Put one hibiscus flower at a bottom of a champagne flute
  • Add a little bit of the syrup; and
  • Fill the flute with champagne. Voilà!

  1. Superbe! Tu me fais penser que j’ai des fleurs d’hibiscus séchées à la maison, et je n’ai pas encore exploré les possibilités d’utilisation!

  2. Oh beautiful, know where to get them in Montreal? Ever had Hibiscus juice…so good!

  3. I actually bought my jars before Christmas at Douceurs du Marché (Atwater Market). Ask the owners, they used to keep them behind the counter.
