Foodies can now find their match by participating in activities that are specifically catered to them. Well, at least you know when you meet someone at one of these events that you will not end up with a person who eat Kraft Dinner or McDonald everyday!

It’s fiddleheads season in Canada. It’s a short season that lasts only a couple of weeks. Each year, in the spring, mother nature brings us this delicacy from the woods.

Just before Christmas, I discovered this great product from Australia: Wild Hibiscus Flowers in Syrup. In addition to being beautiful, they are delicious. They are a real show stopper! Serve them with champagne and you will make a hit!

This year, I decided expand my knowledge and try to grow varieties of tomatoes that are a little “exotic”. When I started my search, I was far from thinking that I would have to choose between 200 different kinds of tomato at the farm where I purchase my seeds.

The 5 à 7 Slow is a formula developed by Slow Food Montreal to allow its members to meet in an urban context. The concept is quite simple: bring in a room foodies, producers and restaurant owners, add a tasting of local products and Voilà!
